About Us

Mon Sheong Foundation is Canada’s first registered charity specializing in the Chinese community.
 
Founded in Toronto in 1964 as a charitable organization to promote Chinese culture and heritage through caring for the elderly and nurturing the young, Mon Sheong Foundation provides programs and services to the elderly and to the young in response to the needs of Canada’s culturally diverse communities.

Long-Term Care Centre

Mon Sheong is operating four Long-Term Care Centres:

Mon Sheong Long-Term Care Centre

Construction of the two new Mon Sheong long-term care centres started in fall 2023. They are slated to open in the next two years, providing 544 long-term care beds:

Mon Sheong Dr. Paul Woo Long-Term Care Centre – opening in August 2025

Mon Sheong Markham Long-Term Care Centre – Spring 2026

We are looking for experienced service providers to join us in serving our residents in the following areas:

  1. Housekeeping

  2. Laundry

  3. Nursing

  4. Nutrition and Dietary

孟嘗會是加拿大首間註冊的華人慈善服務機構。
All these four state-of-the-art facilities provide quality care services for seniors, physically or mentally challenged, and individuals suffering from other illnesses like dementia. With 7-day, 24-hour nursing services, the risks caused by delayed treatment can be reduced to a minimum. The management of these Long-Term Care Centres meets with resident families regularly to enhance communication on the conditions and needs of residents. 
All four of our Long-Term Care Centres have received the three-year accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), its highest level of quality care excellence, signifying our commitment and determination in providing excellent care service to both residents and their families.
